Grass-Fed Beef, rotationally grazed on our certified organic pastures. Starting in 2019, we have been buying what’s called “stocker cattle,” which are young cattle, old enough to be weaned from their mothers, which we then feed until they reach market size. In our case, we are feeding them only on our pastures and on hay cut from our pastures, because we think that grass-fed beef is better for the eater as well as the planet. Grass-fed beef tends to be less fatty than corn-fed, as well as more flavorful because the animals take longer to reach market size.
